The sun begins to set as the action begins at the school. Students and parents walk into the school in small groups of one or two. Dr. Bill George says a few words and the crowd is released.
School groups set up booths on the main hall to show off the work that students have achieved this year. The groups varied from college crew to yearbook and everything in between.
Students sat at booths with posters, projects and hand outs. They waited, for parents, for peers and for other teachers. It was their chance to get recognition for the work they had done.
Hot dogs were served in the courtyard as dinner while students and parents browsed the different groups.
As the browsers looked upon the tables, they also asked questions. These questions were both their own and those that were a part of the “Scavenger hunt.” Each table had one or two questions that the observers would answer on their purple paper.
The night ended with a drawing of names for gift cards.
