School prepares for upcoming curriculum fair

Written by Jessica Maslanka, Reporter

Nov. 19 is approaching, the school is buzzing with students, and faculty alike, working together in preparation for the upcoming curriculum fair. The department chairs and faculty are working ferociously to create a night to show off the school.

At the curriculum fair, there will be several opportunities for parents and students alike to view the school and learn about possible choices for the future. For seniors there will also be a scholarship booth where they can find scholarships in which they fit.

The curriculum fair will include a catered diner at 5:30 as well as a child care for families with small children.

The entire community is welcome. “I want the school to be overwhelmed with people,” Roger Hudson, counselor, said. “We don’t want the school to be a mystery to anyone in the community”

On the night of the curriculum fair, a video will be presented to all that come. “We made the video to show the community what we have to offer their children,” Hudson said, “and, more importantly to show off the skills of our student.”

The video will not be the only show of the students’ abilities; their work will be shown off as well. “we always love to see parents. They are always welcome,” Donna Hawk, school/community special projects coordinator, said. “This is their chance to see what the students have achieved or what they can achieve.”
