Students make plans for summer

Summer, a time when students kick back and relax, without having to worry about the pressures of long school days or approaching deadlines. To students, summer means going out and hanging with friends, laying in the sun trying to get a tan, traveling on a cruise or to a vacation destination.
“I go to Panama City every year, usually with my family,” Carson Sinclair, junior, said. “To me, going to Panama means the summer has started for me.”
As summer approaches, people tend to write down a list of goals they like to accomplish.
“I plan stuff out with my sister, Kristen” Codie Thomas, sophomore, said. “It’s a good idea but we really don’t stick to it; I tend to do my own thing and she does her thing.”
Despite summer, usually portrayed as a time of relaxing and taking it slow , students find it hard to actually relax. As decieving as the pictures and paintings of summer might be, students find that they do not really have any down time. They are striving to make the most of their time, to have as much fun as possible.
“I can’t plan for anything, but I try to remain flexible with my time between family, friends and work,” Hunter Robertson, sophomore, said. “I find it worth it, even though it’s like trying to balance yourself with tons of books unevenly stacked in your hand.”
